A Course in Miracles
(Made easy)

# Spirituality & Philosophy

I LOVE this book since it's NOT about religion, which was my initial (and wrong) assumption when I first read the title.

It redefines how I see and feel about "God," who is like a friend that will never judge and is even humorous.

The first 3/4 of the book is fresh. It's a lifelong, real experiment on how "surrendering" can bring you gifts you never expect.

It blew my mind when I read the idea of "time."
(Soo interesting!!)

TBH I can't remember the highlights now when I'm writing this. But I remember my feelings after reading it were good.... :p

I can say this became my personal bible :)

(It's not about Christianity, if you are wondering.) It shares the view and examples on how to act from LOVE instead of fear in our day-to-day life. This is the "easy" edition of the original version, which is more complicated to grasp.

The 4-Hour Work Week

# Personal Development

The Let Them Theory
Hyperfocus

I don't really remember the content (?) but it's an easy read to learn some productivity tips.

# Self Development

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. It's the only and my fav audiobook that I've ever finished, as it's narrated by Mel Robbins herself. It's like listening to your aunt living next door giving you advice :)

I love it. It validates my idea that rarely is work really urgent in a lot of cases.
Another highlight is outsourcing your tasks that don't contribute to your growth.

Goddesses in Everywoman

# Gender Studies

Men are from Mars,
Women are from Venus

Very useful and insightful in understanding how different genders operate. Read it if you want to communicate better with the opposite gender :) (Or even just to understand WHY you act in certain ways.)

It's fun to learn about ancient goddess but it's not useful in how to improve the intersexual relationships.
(I love Athena and Aphrodite, goddesses of strategy and love :) )

Big Asian Energy

It's quite an interesting read if you are East-Asian. The author shares several examples of his clients that you might be able to find yourself in. (My fav exercise: "Claim your space.")

# Literary Novel

Best!! It's a page turner. Period.
Go grab it if you love thrillers and the movie came out in 2025.

It's a cute book with a series of fictional stories based on scenes in Amsterdam.

I picked it up in the bookstore because the cover was cute. It's my bedside book - a story about a boy with a disability to express feelings (it's fun to learn how they think as it's a real disease). It's heartwarming with heart-wrenching moments.

# Illustrated Picture Book

The author is my favorite - the one from The Boy, the Mole, the Fox :)

Itโ€™s heartwarming, and the mole is as always humorous โ€” it cracked a smile on my face while I read it :)

The illustrations and the whole book are just so exquisite that itโ€™s now on display on my bookshelf ๐Ÿ’–

There is only one song you can sing โ€” and itโ€™s yours.

Tao Te Ching

# Spirituality & Philosophy

I'm a big fan of the idea "effortless power" and Tao Te Ching best captures the essence of it.

Live like water.
Hold no expectations.
Let life flow.

# Fantasy

This is the first fantasy book I've read in my entire life...and it got me hooked!
I guess reading it on an e-reader helped a lot as I could look up unfamiliar words and characters very easily :)

I get curious, I cry, and I laugh while I read, and can't wait to read for more everyday.

I now LOVE anything dragons ๐Ÿฅบ ๐Ÿ‰

I am the sky and the power of every storm that has ever been.

I am

This gotta be an unpopular opinion but I can't find its charm :/ Might as well abandon in the end. (still struggling)

This has forever been on hold on my Kobo so let's see if one day I'll reignite the passion to read :D

(I'll finish it in 2026)

(hopefully)

The Power of Now

I know it's popular and I've tried to read it twice (once in Mandarin once in English) but I just don't resonate.
